IDx Voice Self Service Password Reset

Share |

IDx Voice Self Service Password Reset (VSSPR) service helps customers overcome the challenges associated with the following issues:

  • Too many password-related help desk calls
  • Too many people spending too much time provisioning users and deactivating access
  • Too many “access denied” problems calls transferred to the help desk organization

Self service password resets using voice biometric user verification addresses security efficiency (contain cost, simplify process) and security effectiveness (better control and better transparency).  IDx Voice Self Service Password Reset can conveniently identify the user by their voice, without having to rely on remembering answers to challenge/response questions or having to wait while a help desk process completes.  A user simplify performs two simple tasks:

  1. Enrollment:  If the user knows their existing password, the user can be enrolled via a phone call in minutes.
  2. Password Reset:  If the user does not know their password, they are allowed to reset it in seconds.

Organizations can save $8-25 per password reset using a self-service model.  If a self-service process exists today, IDx Voice Self Service Password Reset can simplify the user’s experience and strengthen security by using voice biometric user verification.
